Stream of Consciousness is a psychology vocabulary, which was created by the American psychologist Wilhelm James in the 19th century and refers to the continuous flow of human consciousness and then to literature. This article compares the two consciousness stream writers Virginia Woolf and James Joyce to conclude that the stream of consciousness writing has the female attribute.
