近些年,湖南省保靖县乱砍滥伐之风,愈刮愈烈。据调查,全县26453户,有14119户参与乱砍滥伐,占总户数的53%。而马王多,滥伐户竟占88%。何其触目惊心!截至去年5月,全县乱砍滥伐木材4300多立方米。过量砍伐,使成林、过熟林蓄积量由1957年的8.4万立方米减至现在的3.2万立方米。砍风之盛,损失之大,前所未见。由于争伐抢欢,围攻、殴打林政人员,强迫收购木材等林业治安案屡屡发生。邪风不止,坏人逞凶,一切正直的群众无不怨声载道,心灰意冷,谁能专心生产,着意绿化河山? 沉重的教训,引起人们深刻的反思:乱砍滥伐风之猛
