文章以中国城市建筑环境的全球化趋势为大背景,提出了我们只有摆正对传统文明与西方文明的态度,完成传统中国与现代中国的对接,并从自身文明中汲取营养,才能实现具有鲜明中国特色的,富于强劲文化创造力的“中国创造”的理念。文章指出了认识传统、激活传统,进而创造传统的方法论,并且介绍了在此方法下创作的景观雕塑作品实例——“德胜之胜”的创作过程及特色意义。
