本文对山区玉米育种用优良自交系苏37（S37）的选育研究进行了总结。S37是从热带种质中选育的一个自交系，具有热带种质的优良特性，用它与温带、寒带种质的自交系交配，能较多的出现适合山区种植的优良性状互补组合。S37的有成和投产，在我国玉米有种上开辟了利用热带种质的又一途径。
In this paper, the breeding of high quality inbred lines Su 37 (S37) for maize breeding in mountain areas was summarized. S37 is an inbred line selected from tropical germplasm. It has the excellent characteristics of tropical germplasm. With its mating with in temperate and boreal germplasm inbred lines, S37 can produce more complementary traits for mountain planting . S37 has become successful and put into operation in China, a species of corn has opened up another way to use tropical germplasm.
