Specialists at the Hawaii Institute of Marine Research in the United States used cow dung to keep prawns very well. Shrimp grew well and survived at 88% at 11 weeks of age. During the entire trial (11-14 weeks of age), they did not consume any commercial food in the shrimp ponds and only 30 kg of cattle manure in the shrimp ponds per week. Feeding cow dung to the sea
