Kinson Mori is president of the Japan Economic Research Center, a famous economist. On February 8 and March 7 of this year, two issues of “Oriental Economy” published their views on the current hot topic - the regionalization of the world economy and the recession in Japan in the column entitled “Viewing Economy.” How to Look at the Regionalization of the World Economy? After World War II, the picture portrayed by economists about the future world economy is the free and undisciplined trade among all the countries in the world. However, after more than 40 years, the world economy has been slightly different and is being developed in a more localized way. The first economic outreach was the European Economic Community (EEC), established in 1958, and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) in 1960. Later, various kinds of forms of economic cooperation called communalities emerged, but Not of practical importance.
