利用塑料薄膜覆盖地面(简称地膜覆盖)栽培农作物,是一项新兴的农业技术措施,具有促进农作物生长发育,提高产量的作用。目前,国内外在各种作物上都有不同程度的应用。由于地膜覆盖能显著减少地面水分蒸发,保持土壤墒情,节约大量灌溉用水,因此在水稻栽培上应用就具有更重要的意义,在国际上应用较为广泛,日本岩手、青森两县地膜覆盖旱稻面积曾占水稻总面积的65.7%,产量也达到水田稻作的水平。我国辽宁省,1981年进行了多点试验,其中有五分之一的点亩产在600—1000斤。由于地膜覆盖旱种水稻具有节约用水的突出特点,所以在干旱地区很有发展前途。
