荔枝是台湾重要的经济果树之一,以黑叶品种为最多。黑叶荔枝采收后,7月份开始萌芽抽梢,10月份以前抽生新梢,次年春可抽生花穗。10月份以后抽生的若遇到低温气候,则发育不充实,到第二年只有少数校梢发育成晚花穗,因此造成隔年结果;影响产量。如果提高黑叶荔枝产量呢?台湾经过多年实践,早期用环刻处理法,产量虽有增加,但不显著,而且影响植株生长,以后,他们采用了益收处理法,效果明显。
