The Olympic Games is the world’s most influential multi-project international sports event. The Olympic Games held from 776 BC to 393 BC were called the Ancient Olympic Games. The Olympic Games held since 1896 AD is called the modern Olympic Games. The ancient Olympic Games began in ancient Greece and originated in Olympia. Olympia is located in a valley in the southwest of the Greek peninsula.
