何谓“艺术学立场”从艺术学的立场出发,研究明清篆刻艺术史,或者说研究明清流派篆刻作为艺术之进程,其着眼点必须是艺术创造,是明清篆刻艺术之思想者与实践者的艺术创造及其演进过程。而其研究指向必须是为当代篆刻艺术提供参照背景:为篆刻艺术理论提供本土的,本体的思想资源,为篆刻艺术创作提供必不可少的发展思路,为篆刻艺术评判提供最为直观的历史坐标。立足于艺术学立场,以艺术学思路来考察明清文人篆刻,可以获得对此际流派印合乎逻辑的艺术史价值判断。
