On October 5, 2008, the SFC formally announced the launch of a pilot margin financing and lending pilot. The pilot list and scope will be announced in due course. The promulgation of this policy made it clear that the government’s resolute attitude to rescue the market will play an extremely positive role in boosting investor confidence.
