《傲慢与偏见》和《曼斯菲尔德庄园》同为英国女作家简·奥斯丁的长篇代表作,先后发表于1813年及1814年。《傲慢与偏见》是奥斯丁自己最喜爱的一部小说,也是最为世人所熟知的,女主人公伊丽莎白更是奥斯丁笔下最讨人喜爱的一位;《曼斯菲尔德庄园》相较于《傲慢与偏见》,轻松诙谐似乎少了一分,反讽辛辣似乎多了一分。女主人公范妮不似伊丽莎白那样聪慧风趣,反而多了几分基督徒的说教意味。尽管这前后两部作品的风格有着较大的差异,女主人公的形象也有着很大的反差,但我们可以看到,奥斯丁对于故事的铺延,却都是通过女主人公——两双不同的眼睛来呈现和发展的。本文试从伊丽莎白和范妮的眼睛着手,分析奥斯丁对于小说叙述视角的继承与发展。
Pride and Prejudice and Mansfield Park are short masterpieces by British writer Jane Austen. They were published in 1813 and 1814 respectively. Pride and Prejudice is one of Austin’s favorite fictions and is most commonly known in the world. The heroine Elizabeth is even the most delightful one by Austin. The Mansfield Hacienda “Pride and Prejudice”, it seems easy to witty less one point, irony seems spicy one point more. The heroine Fanny is not so smart and witty as Elizabeth, but somewhat more Christian sermons. Although the two works before and after the style has a larger difference, the heroine’s image also has a great contrast, but we can see that Austin’s extension of the story, but through the heroine - two pairs Different eyes to show and develop. This article tries to analyze Austen’s inheritance and development of narrative perspective from the eyes of Elizabeth and Fanny.
