The first China International Import Expo （CIIE） opens in Shanghai this month. It covers three parts： country pavilions for trade & investment， business exhibitions， and the Hongqiao International Economic and Trade Forum.
CIIE sets up a transaction platform for exhibitors， which provides general and professional services both online and offline. The platform， like a green channel between overseas quality products and services and Chinese consumers， provides services before， during， and after the expo.
At the same time， to facilitate trade and commerce， China will cut more import tariffs， and simplify procedures in the review and approval， customs clearance， and the inspection and quarantine of imports.
There is neither precedent nor parallel of an import expo at national level in other parts of the world. Through increasing imports， China is taking action to give firm support to trade liberalization and economic globalization， which is a boost to the global economy.
