基础教育课程改革以令世人瞩目的迅猛之势在全国顺利推进。本次课程改革的显著特征就是学习方式的转变。在英语课程标准中明确指出,“……使学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯和形成积极有效的学习策略,发展自主学习能力和合作精神……”。这是英语课程的主要任务之一。在新课程推进实施,在英语教学所倡导的任务型教学途径(task-based approach)的背景下,组织有效的英语小组活动(groupwork)有着十分积极的意义。小组活动强调学生的自主参与,自觉实践,在动中学(learning by doing),在目前初中英语教学中其优势尤其明显。笔者结合平时的教研实践,着重就小组活动的作用与优势、小组活动的实施策略作一分析思考,旨在进一步提高小组活动的实效,提高课堂教学效率,推进英语学习方式的转变。
The reform of basic education curriculum has been successfully promoted throughout the country with the swift and violent momentum of the world. The distinctive feature of this curriculum reform is the change of learning methods. It is clearly stated in the English curriculum standards that “... to make students self-confident, to develop good study habits and to form active and effective learning strategies, to develop autonomous learning capabilities and a spirit of cooperation...”. This is one of the main tasks of the English course. In the context of the implementation of the new curriculum and the task-based approach advocated by English teaching, organizing effective groupwork has a very positive significance. The group activities emphasize students’ independent participation, conscious practice, and learning by doing, and their advantages are particularly evident in current junior high school English teaching. Combining with the usual practice of teaching and research, the author focuses on analyzing and thinking about the role and advantages of group activities and the implementation strategies of group activities, aiming to further improve the effectiveness of group activities, improve classroom teaching efficiency, and promote the transformation of English learning methods.
