一个多世纪以来,以电话服务为主的电信业走了一条成功之路,取得了极大的发展。直到今天,无论从业务量还是从收入来说,电话仍是电信业的主体业务。可以说,20世纪是电话的时代。然而,90年代信息革命的浪潮、建设信息高速公路的号角声、信息和知识爆炸式的增长,特别是 Internet 商用化后的迅猛发展,使传统的电信业受到巨大的震动和冲击。冲击带给我们的启示是,核心在于“信息”。在信息和知识已成为社会和经济发展的战略资源和基本要素的时代中,人们更加需要信息,需要随时随地获取信息,原来点对点的固定电话通信已经远远不能满足需求。现在可以肯定地说,新世纪将是信息的时代,移动的时代。在这一历史性的变化过程中,在21世纪
For more than a century, the telephone service-oriented telecommunications industry has taken a great success and has achieved great development. Until today, telephony remains the mainstay of the telecom industry, both in terms of volume and revenue. It can be said that the 20th century is the era of telephone. However, the tide of the information revolution in the 1990s, the bugle of the information superhighway, the explosive growth of information and knowledge, and the rapid development after the commercialization of the Internet in particular have caused tremendous shock and impact on the traditional telecom industry. The implication that the impact brings us is that the core lies in “information.” In a time when information and knowledge have become strategic resources and essential elements of social and economic development, people are in need of information more and more and need access to information anytime and anywhere. Point-to-point fixed-line communications are far from satisfying demand. It is safe to say that the new century will be an era of information and an era of mobility. In this historic process of change, in the 21st century
