今年,国务院规定将清明节列入公休假日。可以预计,届时上坟扫墓的群众将会比往年更多。而且烧纸祭奠的现象也会增加。这些不免引起我的担心。按说悼念亡灵,慎终追远,是我们民族的优良传统和美德。清明节前后相对集中的祭扫活动,不仅体现了我们后人对淳厚民俗的悠远传承,也显示了我们民族的家园天下相连的凝聚力之所在。然而,我们不得不承认,这种传统的安葬和祭扫方式,也到了必须加以改革的时刻。
This year, the State Council stipulated that the Ching Ming Festival be included in the public holidays. It can be predicted that there will be more people sweeping graves at the grave than usual. And burning paper to pay homage to the phenomenon will increase. These can not help but cause my concern. It is an excellent tradition and virtue of our nation to say that we should pay tribute to souls and eventually to pursue them far. The relatively concentrated sacrificial activities before and after the Ching Ming Festival not only reflect our distant descendants’ longstanding tradition of pure and honest folk customs, but also show the cohesiveness of our nation’s homeland. However, we have to admit that this traditional method of burial and sacrifice also reaches a moment when reform must be carried out.
