Professor Dr.Andreas H.Guse,Hamburg(Germany),received his Diploma degree in Biology,specialization Biochemistry,from the University of Hamburg.In 1990he received his PhD(Dr.Rer.Nat.)at the Department of Chemistry at the same University.In 1993 he got the formal qualification as lecturer(Habilitation)from the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen(Germany).In 1994 he moved back to Hamburg where he held different positions at the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf.He is currently Professor and Director of the Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Cell Biology.
