华世奎(1864-1942),字启臣,号璧臣、思闇。汉族,祖籍江苏无锡,后迁避于天津。1879年中秀才,1885年入京在国史馆担任校对,1895年选人内阁任中书,不久又任军机章京,后升为章京领班。1911年奕劻组内阁时,又升任内阁阁丞。清帝退位后,隐居天津,不再参与政事,惟以诗文、书法自娱,家中常聚各方名士吟诗谈词。1942年华世奎故于天津里第,终年79岁。其家属及在津遗老联名向伪满皇帝溥仪请谥,得赐“贞节”谥号。华世奎的书法,自幼受家庭熏陶,各种书体无一不精。早年学习篆隶,以楷书见长。楷书取法颜真卿的笔画、钱南园的间架、苏东坡的
