20世纪三四十年代,雷沛鸿以广西省教育厅长的身份创办了广西普及国民基础教育研究院和广西教育研究所两个教育研究机构,它们分别以国民基础教育和国民中学教育为研究主题,组织开展了教育研究与实验、师资培训与辅导、教材编撰与出版等多项工作,促进了教育事业、教育行政与教育学术的良性互动,也体现了雷沛鸿教育行政学术化的理想。上述广西教育研究机构在中国近代教育学术史上占有重要地位,也可为当前中国地方教育研究机构的改革和发展提供历史借鉴。
In the 1930s and 1940s, Lei Peihong founded Guangxi Institute of Education for National Basic Education and Guangxi Institute of Education as two educational research institutes in Guangxi Province. They studied respectively the basic education of nationalities and the education of national secondary schools Theme and organization of education research and experiment, teacher training and counseling, textbook compilation and publication of a number of work, promote education, education administration and education academic interaction, but also reflects the Lei Peihong academic ideal of educational administration . The above-mentioned institutions of education and research in Guangxi occupy an important position in the academic history of modern Chinese education and can also provide historical references for the reform and development of local educational research institutions in China.
