通过毛主席著作和社会主义教育的学习,使我们认识到数学的教与学必须为三大革命运动服务。在下乡调查时,很多生产队的干部和社员都反映出这样一个问题:由于不能计算粮堆的重量,给夏秋场上分配带来许多麻烦。粮食堆在场上,要进行分配,先得用工具全部称一遍;有时为了简便,就用水桶一桶一桶的量,常因人多手乱把桶数搞错了,还得重量。有时事忙,顾不得称,也顾不得量,只好“大估景”。又怕分多了不够分的,就先少分一点,剩下的再分第二次、第三次……。一堆粮食,常常分到深更半夜,浪费了人力物力,耽误了休息,影响了生产。我们听了之后,深感在科技小组活动中,在教师指导下,应用所学数学知识研究解决这个问题是完全必要和可能的。为此,三个多月来,我们试用学校和粮管所的粮食,做了三百多次实
