“新文化”先驱们在《新青年》上以“新”字为核心,通过确定“新青年”的实施主体地位、“新”与“旧”的评判标准和破“旧”立“新”的践行方法,希图创设一套“新”文化观并将其引入具体实践。而实际上,《新青年》在后期转向共产主义之前,一直也没有明确的、惟一的理念形成,因此有必要回归到“新”文化观生成的源头去,探究“新”文化观的内涵及其发展变化。
