一、年、祀、岁纪年,就是把年代记下来,用以表示时间的概念。我国历史上的纪年主要以帝王为代表。这种纪年的方法,在商代就开始了。《汉书·律历志》引《尚书·伊训》有“太甲元年”。我国古代最早的一部字典《说文解字》解释年字说:“年,谷熟也。”在原始社会时期,从传说中的神农氏时起,人们已开始了农业种植,古人把农作物从种植到收获这一周期,叫做一年,商代的甲骨文把年字写成形,象人背负着已成熟的谷类作物,这就是年字的起源。
