中子单色器的屏蔽好坏直接决定着所属谱仪的性能指标,影响自身及周边谱仪数据获取的质量。因此,单色器屏蔽的模拟和设计在中子散射谱仪建设过程中起重要作用。为满足CARR旁热中子双束孔道Ⅱ上两台中子衍射谱仪——高分辨中子粉末衍射仪(HRPD)和高强度中子粉末衍射仪(HIPD)的实际需要,必须对两台谱仪的单色器屏蔽进行综合考虑,提出初步设计方案,并进行模拟或试验验证。这里,我们选用国际上已广泛应用于反应堆屏蔽计算的中子输运程序MCNP4C进行模拟计算,基本模拟思路如下。
