西部大开发是我国现代化战略的重要组成部分。目前东西部差距仍较大,因此这又是艰巨的历史任务。社会信息化和政府职能转变是社科信息工作的重大机遇,将进入决策服务的主渠道。图情领域由于现代信息技术的率先进入而走在了数字革命的前头。充分运用现代信息技术和科学的信息管理方式,整合资源,为社会服务,为决策层服务,为缩小东西部“数字鸿沟”而努力,已成为当前图书情报服务工作的重要任务。
The development of the western region is an important part of China’s modernization strategy. At present, there is still a large gap between the east and the west, so this is another arduous historical task. Social information and the transformation of government functions are great opportunities for social science information work and will enter the main channel of decision-making services. Pictorial areas as the first to enter the modern information technology and walked the front of the digital revolution. Making full use of modern information technology and scientific information management methods, integrating resources, serving the community and serving the decision-making level, and striving to narrow the “digital divide” have become an important task for the current library and information service.
