玉溪市花灯剧团最近推出的大型花灯现代戏《五 彩河》（以下简称《五》）,通过对滇中地区一个奇特而美丽的傣族支系——花腰傣人生产生活的着力刻画,来展示花腰傣人民的心路历程,挖掘花腰傣文化的奇异魁力。 《五》剧中的曼町寨,一个美丽但闭塞的花腰傣世界,在改革大潮的影响下悄然改变着。他们迫切地希望自身能够突破自给自足的小农经济,踏上脱贫致富的坦途。结合本地实际,他们选择了栽种具有较高经济价值的小粒咖啡。但是由于技术落后,栽下的咖啡树却三年不见开花,更别提结果创造效益了。面对乡亲们的茫然与失落,村长痛在心里,他知道这都是技术落后所带来的恶果。于是,他把有知识、重情义、年轻美丽的月香送到省农业大学学习科学栽植技术,以期摆脱困境。月香不负重望学成归来,并带来了专家大卫。他们给寨子带来了希望,也引发了许多意料不到的冲突。
