A research group at Japan’s Tohoku Institute of Metal Materials recently conducted a supercomputer simulation study to find that silicon atoms, like carbon atoms, can also form fullerene structures. And successfully determined the extremely stable nature of the silicon cluster structure --- silicon fullerene structure, its center is an iron atom or ruthenium atom, surrounded by 16 silicon atoms, spherical pentagonal or quadrilateral, etc., a total of
