肿瘤的发生和发展与其所处的微环境相互作用且密不可分,神经系统作为人体重要的调节系统参与其中。研究证实,胃癌等肿瘤组织中有新生的神经纤维分布,这一方面提示肿瘤细胞通过某些方式(类似血管和淋巴管的再生)促进神经再生;另一方面提示这些新生的神经对肿瘤细胞的生物学行为发挥某种作用而影响肿瘤的发生和发展。深入研究肿瘤发展过程中神经与肿瘤的相互作用及其可能的作用机制,可丰富肿瘤生物学理论,并为肿瘤的预防和治疗提供一条新的思路。
