我性喜寂寞。但自从《中国花卉盆景》2003年第4期发表我的《闲来放情文人树,踏遍源头访古禅——循苏本一文脉深底探索记》一文后,就寂寞不再。不少人通过各种渠道和不同方式与我联系,探询、讨论有关问题,直到九月上旬才复归以前的寂寞。本想重享寂寞,但年底又见黄彪远的大作《文人树的自然形成与创作理念》(见《中国花卉盆景》2003年第12期,以下简称“黄文”)中又有提及,这是我未曾料到的。但文中涉及的一些问题,我觉得有必要进行商榷,以求共识。我认为,盆景没有属于自己的独立的理论体系,要寻求理论的支持而发展自己就必须借鉴画论。而文人画在宋元以来是中国画的主流……当然,盆景要借鉴的还有园艺等其它姐妹艺术中的精华,只是由于文章主题及选材的需要,才略去其它而独挺画论。但“黄文”对中国盆景创作要借鉴画论一说却有些不以为然,字里行间充满了质疑,认为那样的话盆景就会变成“可怜虫”。“黄文”提出的理由是“我看了很多西方国家(如日、美、法、英、南非等等)的盆景画册,他们国家的盆景并非根据他们国家的绘画理论所创作”。
