A Brief Syntactic Research on Resultative Construction

This article will deal with Resultative Construction syntactically.First of all,the Unaccusative Hypothesis will be introduced,and the ideas of different scholars(mainly Levin and Rappaport) towards the question--whether the resultative construction can serve as diagnostic test to tell unergative verbs and unaccusative verbs apart--will be presented.The second focus of the article is about the differences that tell resultative constructions apart from depicitive construction and secondary predication construction.
