教育工會國際行政委员會舉行過會議並討論了以和平與國際友好精神教育兒童的問題。行政委員會注意到目前教師們的努力正遭遇着严重的困难。戰爭危機在世界範围內正在日益增漲,好战分子不斷地企圖把已经獲得的有助於緩和國際緊張局势的成就歸於消滅。他們在建立軍事同盟。美國、英國、法國、西德以及共他国家的政府已經簽訂了巴黎協定,把西德引到一個侵略性的軍事集團內去。在北大西洋公約集团的文件上公開地討論着使用原子武器。人類的未來被原子战爭的陰影所笼罩。原子戰爭將会毀滅億萬人的生命,將会使我們的努力化為烏有並將会消滅人類的文化結晶。但是所有的工人包括教師在內正在反對軍備競賽,反對戰爭威胁。他們完全明白战爭的後果。
The International Federation of Educational Workers International Administrative Commission held a meeting and discussed the issue of educating children in a spirit of peace and international friendship. The Administrative Commission noted that the current efforts of teachers are facing serious difficulties. The crisis of war is on a world-wide rise day by day, and militants are constantly trying to put an end to the achievements that have been made to help ease international tensions. They are building military alliances. The United States, Britain, France, West Germany and the governments of other countries have signed the Paris agreement, leading West Germany into an aggressive military bloc. The use of atomic weapons was openly discussed in the documents of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The future of mankind is shrouded in the shadow of the atomic war. Atomic wars will destroy the lives of hundreds of millions of people and will turn our efforts into depravity and will eliminate the cultural crystallization of humankind. However, all workers, including teachers, are opposing the arms race and opposing the threat of war. They fully understand the consequences of the war.
