不断提高学生的阅读理解速度和准确性是英语教学的主要任务之一。由于阅读理解要以语言知识为前提,同时又需要科学、社会、文化等多方面的知识,因而教学中就出现了“少而精”和“多而杂”的矛盾。要在有限的时间内提高阅读理解能力,处理好这对矛盾是关键。这篇文章介绍了作者在教学实践中处理这对矛盾的具体做法,可供参考。不过,要切实处理好这对矛盾要涉及诸多因素,如教师的素养、责任心;学生的积极性;教学的条件等等。因此,不同的教师在不同的条件下要“因地制宜”。
Constantly improve students’ reading comprehension and accuracy is one of the main tasks of English teaching. Since reading comprehension requires knowledge of the language as a prerequisite, as well as knowledge of science, society and culture, there arises a contradiction of “less but more refined” and “more and more complex” in teaching. To improve reading comprehension in a limited time, dealing with these contradictions is the key. This article describes the author in teaching practice to deal with these contradictions in the specific practices for reference. However, to effectively deal with these contradictions to be involved in many factors, such as teacher’s literacy, responsibility; student motivation; teaching conditions and so on. Therefore, different teachers should be “adapted to local conditions” under different conditions.
