曹苏龄同志可算是人民文学出版社的老人了。她长期因病不能来社办公,而我碍于不得不然的身份,我们之间并没有多少交往。八十年代的有一天(查日记,是1983年6月25日),她给我打来一个电话,不免使我有些诧异。寒暄了几句,我便问她,“你在哪里?”因为我已听说,她常在医院里照顾她的父亲曹靖华老先生。“我在北京医院,陪我父亲。”接着她说,“周扬同志也在这里,他想见见你。你是不是明天来一趟?”这更令我诧异外,平添了几分不安。
