序跋是书籍的一个重要组成部分。通过明代小说序跋文字可以了解明代通俗小说作家的生活经历、交游状况、性格心态,展现明代通俗小说艺术演进中审美情趣、艺术表现、艺术创作方面的承递嬗变过程,探讨明人对当时通俗小说创作的接受,透视明人小说观念等。由于种种原因,现有诸书中所收录的明代通俗小说序跋都不是很完全,并且有很多重复的篇目,本人在丁锡根、黄霖等人的整理基础上,另外辑补出52篇,整理并汇总明代通俗小说序跋137篇,以期更好地研究其分类及特点。

Due to various reasons, the prefaces and postscripts of the Ming Dynasty popular novels collected in the existing books are not very complete, and there are many overlapping articles. Based on the arrangement of Ding Xigen, Huang Lin and others, the other series have supplemented 52 articles and sorted out A total of 137 prefaces and postscripts of popular novels of the Ming Dynasty were collected in order to better study their classification and characteristics.
