怀远石榴品质特优,个大,籽粒饱满,晶莹如珠。生食之,甜中带酸,不仅能解渴,还具有防病治病的功能,曾多次在全国农业展览会上展出。据李时珍《本草纲目》记载,石榴具有降压止泻等药用价值。 怀远白乳泉是淮河流域重要名胜之一,背依荆山,面临淮水。据县志记载:白乳泉原名白龟泉,相传唐贞元年间,泉中有白龟游出因以得名。后来,人们见泉水白如牛乳,又改名为白乳泉。历代文人墨客,如苏东坡、郭沫若等都曾为白乳泉题词赋诗。
Huaiyuan’s pomegranate quality is excellent, big, full of grain, and crystal like beads. According to Li Shizhen’s “Compendium of Materia Medica” records, pomegranate has anti-hypertension and other medicinal value. Huaiyuan Bai Ruquan is one of the most important scenic spots in the Huaihe River basin. It is backed by Jingshan and faces Huai water. According to the records of county records, Bai Ruquan was formerly known as Bai Guiquan. According to legend, during the Tang Zhen Yuan period, there were white turtles out of the fountain and named after them. Later, people saw the white water as milk, and changed its name to White Milk Spring. Scholars and writers of the ages, such as Su Dongpo and Guo Moruo, wrote poems for Bai Yuquan.
