奎冬4号(原代号85—5024)是农七师农科所1980年以70—4为母本,与7401—54×〔74(14)—8—1(70—4×朴累德奈)〕的F_1杂交选育而成,1991年9月奎屯市农作物品种审定委员会予以审定并命名。 奎冬4号株高80cm左右,茎秆粗壮;穗长方形,长8cm左右,长芒,白壳,无茸毛;每穗结实小穗数14—16穗,单穗粒数34.0—42.5粒,落粒性中等;籽粒白色,椭圆形,胚乳角质,千粒重37—40g,容重794g/l,蛋白质含量14.45％。
