The unexpected outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic is the most seri-ous global public health emergency that humanity has experienced since the end of World War II. It is also a big test of human rights conditions for all countries across the globe. The virus does not respect borders, nor is race or nationality relevant in the face of the disease. Given this, to honor our common commitment to human rights, govments of different countries are obliged to adopt scientifi c measures for the prevention and control of the virus and do their best to ensure the health and safety of their people.
