In April of this year, the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development promulgated Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Green Buildings in China (Caijian [2012] No. 167) and proposed financial incentives for high-star green buildings: the reward standard in 2012 was two-star Green building 45 yuan / square meter, three-star green building 80 yuan / square meter. Award criteria will be based on technological progress, cost changes and other circumstances to be adjusted. Document 167 will push forward the transformation of China’s green building from the “Enlightenment” era to the “Rapid Development” era.
