他视教育为生命,60余载如一日,耄耋之年,依然挥鞭于当代职业教育之林,为中国民营职业教育事业呕心沥血,奋力拼搏,为中国的职业教育事业做出了积极的贡献和有益的探索。他就是被中国教育家协会授予“优秀教育家”称号的长春东方职业学院院长张颖之教授。1944年1月,张颖之“怀揣”满腔热血和对祖国的热爱,走上了革命道路。1947年他光荣地加入中国共产党。1949年12月毕业于华北医科大学,曾任吉林医科大学(原第一军医大学)教务处处长,第一临床学院副院长、白求恩医科大学副校长、主任医师、教授。
