The Xuehu Lake, an academic lake, is a pearl embedded in the campus of the Southwest University of Political Science and Law. Along with this famous Southwestern university, it has gone through half a century of stormy history. There is a small island in the middle of the lake. Students are used to calling it Lover Island or Taohua Island.
