Experimental studies have shown that the removal of organic matter and ammonia nitrogen by biological activated carbon-sand filtration is significant under the conditions of no pre-chlorination or pre-oxidation, and the average removal rates of CODCr and UV2 54 are 40.4% and 4 8.9%.
