The first military documentary in China, the “Wuhan War,” was filmed by Zhu Liankui’s acrobatic troupe and Murray Company in 1911, reflecting the uprising of the Wuchang New Army in the 1911 Revolution. China’s first military science and education film - “Army Coach”, 1921 by the Commercial Press Film Department filming. Yan’an Film Studio, the first movie production organization of our army, was established in Yan’an in 1938. Our army’s first integrated film studio - Bayi Film Studio was established in Beijing in 1952. Wang Ping, director of the first military film director of our army, August 1 Factory, directed seven military films since 1951. Our military’s first large-scale military teaching film, “Attack on the River,” was produced by the Bayi Factory in 1951.
