大型立式电机多用于水轮发电机或水泵电动机,由于它与卧式电机在结构上的不同,在安装上也存在着差异,在调整上比较困难。 结构上主要区别于:卧式电机由两个轴承,来支承至多还有一个止推轴承以克服轴向力,运行时比较稳定,而立式电机全部重量及被拖动设备的轴向力全部由一个平面托力轴承来承担,另有两个导向轴承用以定心。
