Perinatal period refers to 28 weeks of gestation (birth weight at or above 1000 g or 35 cm in length or up to 7 d after birth). During the perinatal period the fetus, newborn’s death is called perinatal death. In recent years, the author of the hospital whereabouts due to umbilical cord factors caused by perinatal death in 27 cases analyzed as follows. 1 General Information 1.1 Mortality Rates The total number of deliveries in the two hospitals from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2011 was 2944 with 41 perinatal deaths and a mortality rate of 13.9%
