高雄捷运全名为高雄都会区大众捷运系统、简称为高捷,是台湾第二个都会区捷运系统。尽管兴建高雄捷运的过程历经许多风风雨雨,但终于在2008年3月9日,高雄捷运红线全线正式通车启用,而兴建中的橘线也预计于2008年10月通车。目前已经正式开通的高雄捷运红线。南起小港站,经高雄国际机场站、草衙站、前镇高中站、凯旋站、狮甲站、三多商圈站、中央公园站、美丽岛站、台铁高雄车站、后驿站、凹子底站、巨蛋站、生态园区站、高铁左营站、世运国家体育园区站、油厂国小站、楠梓加工区站、后劲站、都会公园站、青埔站、桥头糖厂站,桥头火车站至南冈山站,路线总长约为28.3公里,其中美丽岛站和南冈山站由于需配合高雄捷运橘线的动工,因此目前暂未开放营运。高雄捷运红线未来计划向北延伸,到达冈山市中心、路竹科学园区和路竹市中心,以及南至林园地区。其后,高雄还将建设环状轻轨、凤山县、棕线、黄线和绿线等多条捷运系统。随着捷运线路系统的相继开通,将把高雄市和高雄县串连成一个便捷的旅游网,让人们轻松游高雄,出行更顺畅。
Kaohsiung MRT full name for the Kaohsiung metropolitan area Mass Rapid Transit system, referred to as high Czech, is Taiwan’s second metropolitan area MRT system. Although the process of building the Kaohsiung MRT train has undergone many ups and downs, it was finally opened on March 9, 2008, with the opening of the entire Kaohsiung MRT red line. Kaohsiung MRT Red Line plans to extend northward to the center of Okayama City, Luzhu Science Park and Luzhu City Center, and to the south of Linyuan area. Subsequently, Kaohsiung will also build a number of MRT systems such as Ring Light Rail, Fengshan County, Brown Line, Yellow Line and Green Line. With the opening of the MRT line system in succession, Kaohsiung City and Kaohsiung County will be linked into a convenient travel network, making it easy for people to travel to Kaohsiung to travel more smoothly.
