In the preceding paper we reported mevalonic acid lactone(MVA)as a primary precur-sor in the in vivo biosynthesis of arteannuic acid(1)in Qinghao plant.The present com-munication deals with 1 as a precursor in the biosynthesis of both arteannuin(2)and artean-nuin B(3)~2 in a Qinghao homogenate system.
