Due to a lack of awareness of the mechanisms of several faults, the diagnostic system does not cover all possible faults. A comprehensive analysis of the fault diagnosis of turbo-generator set, the fractal characteristics of the vibration signal are studied. On the basis of experiments, a new method of diagnosing system to obtain new fault samples is proposed
