2008年,在北京师范大学教育学专业读大三的李菊作为志愿者亲历了奥运会,也正是在这一年,李菊身上还与另一件大事发生了关联——“5·12”汶川大地震。那场大灾难中,她有16位至亲遇难。灾难面前,李菊坚强面对,继续投身奥运志愿服务工作,工作细致、尽职尽责。在北京奥运会闭幕式上,作为12名志愿者代表之一,她走进鸟巢,接受献花。李菊还获选为2008年度中国大学生年度人物。6年之后,李菊已从当年奥运光环笼罩之下的标杆人物,转身成中央财经大学金融系的一名优秀辅导员兼学院团总支书记。人生角色虽然发生了转变,但那份对志愿服务的热爱,始终如一。
