天山花楸乙醇提取物的药理作用实验表明：它具有对抗氨水引起小鼠咳嗽作用；能对抗乙酰胆碱、组织胺引起豚鼠药物性哮喘作用；可明显松弛气管平滑肌；抑制由乙酰胆碱，组织胺所致的豚鼠离体气管平滑肌的收缩反应，比氨茶碱缓慢；可剂量依赖性地增加心房收缩力，但减任心率作用不明显。
The pharmacological effects of ethanol extracts from T. taiwanensis showed that it had antitussive effects against ammonia in mice; it could protect against acetylcholine and histamine-induced asthma in guinea pigs; it could relax tracheal smooth muscle; inhibited by acetylcholine and histamine. The contractile response of guinea pig isolated tracheal smooth muscle was slower than that of aminophylline; it could increase the atrial contractility in a dose-dependent manner, but the effect of reducing heart rate was not obvious.
