1912年,全国各省佛教徒于上海留云寺召开中华佛教总会成立大会,公推敬安为首任会长。佛教总会设本部于上海静安寺,设机关部于北京法源寺。这是中国各地佛教最初的联合组织。
In 1912, Buddhists from all over the country held a founding conference of the Chinese Buddhist Association in Shanghai to stay in Yun-ji Temple. Buddhist headquarters set up headquarters in Jing’an Temple in Shanghai, set up the Ministry of agencies in Beijing Fayuan Temple. This is the first joint organization of Buddhism in various parts of China.
