The life and eating environment that communities provide to their children can have an impact on children’s obesity, which can exacerbate or improve their health. Although more and more researchers are interested in the impact of community environment on children’s health, most of the surveys are cross-sectional studies, so it is difficult to use such data to infer the causal link between community environment and childhood obesity. To clarify whether a community-specific environment may have a predictive effect on the girl’s obesity in adolescent transitional period, Hoyt and colleagues randomly selected 215 girls aged 8 to 10 years from the CYGNET Study to conduct a 4-year prospective follow-up study. Eventually 174 patients entered the statistical model and used logistic regression models to analyze the association between community characteristics and childhood obesity risk. The results show that the community leisure facilities and suitable walking environment and the relationship between girls and obesity is not
